The initial inspiration for this project focused on children who need to use prosthetic devices. One of the many struggles these children face is the stigma and self-consciousness associated with them. The goal was to provide a tool to make their devices more human and approachable.
The entire process was highly iterative. Starting from the initial sketches and all the way into the final cut files, numerous prototypes and revisions were made to ensure the proper functionality and ease of use to guarantee a satisfying user experience. Explorations included patterns, colors, mechanisms, materials and textures.
